Two Posts in One Day???

I had to post this before I forgot, so read about the car accident below. Both incidents occurred in 1st grade Spanish today.

A very conscientious young man brought a crayon up, shoved it under my nose, and declared, "This is MADE IN CHINA!" I told him that, despite his valid lead poison concern, he would be fine if he didn't EAT the crayon.

A little later, I walked around the room to check their progress on the coloring page. I was wearing a white chip quartz necklace similar to the one pictured. A cute li'l first grader started staring at my neck, and her eyes got distinctly more saucer-esque. In hushed tones, she querried, "Sra. Swan, is your necklace made out of... teeth?" I lost it. :)

So nice that you found some humor in your day to balance some of the less humorous!!!

That is too cute! Kids never cease to amaze me. God sure knew what he was doing when he made them so darn cute! Although car issues are a major pain, I'm glad you're ok and the damage was minor.

LOL, the neverending joy of working with kids. Well, something like that anyway. Glad you're okay, sorry your car is not. I am sure if anything ever happens to my car, minor or not, I will also be quite distraught. She's still in beautiful shape after almost 4 years of ownership! Are you meeting us at the soccer fields on Sat?
