One down, two to go

And by that I mean Thanksgiving dinners. While it seems insane that one little family like ours can be popular enough to be invited to THREE dinners, we are. Actually, it's a case of being blessed with lots of family within driving distance. In fact, I might be attending an unexpected fourth one.

We hope that you and your family are counting the blessings that God has given. Last night, Daddy asked us to be very specific in the things that we were thankful for. It's very easy to be thankful for family, health, faith, etc. It reveals more to be very specific in thanks. I was thankful that the baby is a boy, because that's what I really wanted. Dad was thankful for vehicle safety equipment, since it had potentially saved the lives of three of the people who were at our table last night. Anyway, be specific in your thanks. You'll find that God's blessings are quite numerous and come from unexpected places.

I like this post. We only had ONE dinner and it was here - - - - but by the time all was done and said we had 16 present.

I asked my students to share what they were thankful for, and I asked them to think of something a bit out of the box and unusual, but for which they were truly thankful.

My favorite response was: "my big toes, because they help me keep my balance to walk and run."
