Those of you who know me well might be aware of the wonderful situation God has blessed me with. Stephen cooks, and I eat. I contribute baked goods to our relationship, but just about everything else comes from him. You can imagine my surprise, then, when he volunteered me to make a pot of chili for our church's youth chili cook-off fundraiser. Turns out it was because he wanted me to enter my mom's most excellent chili recipe.
The cook-off was this past Sunday night. Shockingly, I managed to get 2nd place! I was out of the room (changing the most hideous diaper I've ever seen from Katy) when they made the announcement, but it was nice nonetheless.

In light of my monstrous success, I think I'll start my own cooking show. Any suggestions for titles?

No suggestions for a title, but perhaps your show could air just before Greg's Euchre seminar on PBS and that way the two of you could tie up a whole hour of air time!!!!
Shoot, why limit it to TV - - - you guys could take your show on the road!!!!
I would call it "Stop Looking At Me Swan!" No, not really...I just wanted to say that. Congratulations on your prize!
"Deven the Epitome of Domesticity."
I remember when we made fudge freshman year and you kept saying "This is boring! When's it going to be done so we can eat it?!" Haha. Ahhh change.
Congratulations!! That's a huge honor :~) Do they still use the same award for the first place winner?
the much sought after "Golden Pot" is still the chili award. you can't go wrong with a classic. :)
Impressive! Good job on the chili contest win!
