Tonight was IWUs Staff Party, affectionately known as Bonus Collection Night in our house. Well, now I guess it's a little more than that since the kids can see Santa. Three Christmases ago, Katy was almost two months old and fell asleep just as she was placed in Santa's lap. Last year, at just over a year, she cried before she even got to his lap. This year, we started talking Santa up even as we were arriving in the car. She was so excited to see him! All through the line she was eager to see him. I took Caleb's coat off and prepared the camera for the Kodak moment...
Right-o. Ironically, right after she was off of this poor guy's lap, she was excited to see him all over again. Go figure.... Caleb took things much more calmly.
We enjoyed seeing the many friends and acquaintances from the years we have spent at IWU, both as staff and for me, as a student.
I'll close this post with a photo montage of the valiant effort we made to get a cute picture of the kiddos in their Santa-esque outfits. I'm sure those out there in Bloggerland who have attempted photo sessions with two young-uns will appreciate the beauty of this photo journal.

Fun times. I'd have never gotten Kyle any where NEAR that close to Santa at that age. Let's just say, he's always had a mind of his own!!!!
Hip Hip Hooray for 2 hour delay!!!!
Cute pics! I've been wondering how your brother is...I'm anxiously waiting...
OHMYGOSH they are so cute! And I can't help it, when I see them together with her being the big sister, I think of my Katie and Jordan. Caleb's big sis will always be showing him the ropes, won't she? I am cracking up at her response to the smile request.
Thanks, Linda. I always wonder if people find my kids as cute as I do.
