Thankfulness

God has given us a gift of time. If you're caught up with us, we are in Chicago while Stephen's dad is preparing to have surgery tomorrow morning. If we were in Marion, we would have dropped everything to spend time with Ken and Sarah, but we're not there, and it's killing us. But Stephen felt, rightfully so, that IWU spent money to send him to this training and that he should see it through. In his class this morning they were to have covered two chapters that wouldn't really have useful information for Stephen. SOMEHOW, though, the programs that the instructor needed weren't working at the time. He decided to postpone those chapters till Friday, skipping ahead to the material more pertinent to Stephen's job. Because of this, we have the opportunity to come home tonight and be there for Ken's surgery in the morning. Thanks, God. We recognize Your hand at work.

I love those kinds of 'God changing ordinary things' interventions. :-)

Isn't it wonderful the way that God works things out! I hope everything goes well.
