Today, our family was in the car, and Katy --as she often does-- had a comment on the weather happenings.
"The sun is SO bri-doh!"
Stephen and I smiled at each other, thinking how cute she was, and I said, "I think that's like 'And Bingo was his name-o.'" Katy said, "Noooooo. It's so bri-doh. Like Skinny Marink." Well, I knew what song she meant, but I knew that bri-doh had no part in Skinny Marinky Dinky Dink. I started singing the song anyway, and wouldn't you know it -- check out these lines!
Skinny marinky dinky dink
Skinny marinky doo
I love you!
Skinny marinky dinky dink
Skinny marinky doo
I love you!
I love you in the morning, and I love you late at night.
I love you in the evening when the moon is shining briiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii-doh
Skinny marinky dinky dink
Skinny marinky doo
I love you!
Now some people might think that should be "I love you in the evening when the moon is shining bright, oh..." but Katy begs to differ. :) She IS cute.
Here's a picture of the kids up in a tree from our district campmeeting a couple of weeks ago. Caleb is gaining a lot of confidence with walking, and Katy is finally starting to tell us when she needs to use the potty instead of us reminding her. I finished my last master's homework today, and the house is being sided. Life is good. (I was going to add that Stephen went back to work after a little over a week of vacation, but that isn't a WOO HOO kind of thing.)
