My Boy, SUPERCHUNCK!

Baby Boy is doing so well! I have decided to take him in for a weekly weight check until his two month appointment (which is scheduled for when he is 2.5 months -- go figure!). So today I took him up to the Lactation Consultant's office to see the numbers. I stripped him down, plopped him on the scale, and stood with bated breath as the numbers settled. ::Drum roll, please:: 8 pounds, 15.7 ounces!!!! We have almost broken the 9 pound barrier, and I am so thankful!

Slightly disappointing to me is that he is so hungry we are having to supplement with formula a little after some feedings. I have nothing against formula, and if he needs it, he needs it. It's a tiny thorn in my flesh that I'm not enough for him, nutritionally speaking. However, we might get to that point eventually. And for now, I just want him "pleasingly plump." :)

Sarah had her first formula since the hospital tonight. She keeps cracking me and I think she's too old to correct her horrible latch on, so I'm pumping until I get tired of it. I have tons of stuff frozen in my freezer at home, but nothing here, so when she got hungry before my nothing pumping time, I only got 2.5 ounces instead of the normal 4-4.5. I had to make a quick run to the store for some formula. Oh well. All that matters is that all day today, while eating BM from the bottle, she was very content. She only fussed when it was time to take one of her 30-45 minutes naps she takes 1.5 hours after eating. Glad to hear Caleb is doing better!!

nothing is supposed to be normal.
