A Sober Moment

and not sober as in free from the effects of alcohol.

I told Stephen the other night that for the first time, the twins' due date passed without me thinking about it specifically. Maybe it has something to do with being so busy taking care of the other kids. I don't know if it's strange to think about babies that I never got to meet, but I do -- quite often. Something makes me sad that I didn't remember them this year.

Also along the lines of serious is Caleb's health. While he is doing wonderfully in all other regards, he has gained VERY little weight in the past month of his life -- just a couple of ounces. We're working on fixing that, but we would appreciate your prayers in the following ways:

--That Caleb's body would get all the nutrition it can from his food and put it to good use
--That I will be able to take care of feeding him, pumping, and taking care of Katy in a way that lets her know that she's just as important as Caleb
--That Stephen will continue being so wonderful and helpful as often as he's home
--That God will be glorified through this time

And, a la Forrest Gump, that's all I have to say about that.

We went throught the same thing with David. We will definitley pray for little Caleb. He is still learning how to eat, which is a skill that takes some babies longer to master. Keep up with the pumping- it is the best possible thing you can do for him right now because that is what he needs most (your milk).

We will keep praying!

I will pray for your specific requests. He is adorable. He looks all concerned in his picture here. Bless his little heart and yours.

I know what you mean. Last year I forgot about the baby before Bekah because we were so busy, but this year, because he/she's due date was so close to Sarah's actual b-day, I was thinking about it a lot and thought it would have been neat if she had been born on that day. (March 21,she came on March 24). WE'll pray for Caleb. Keep me and Sarah in your prayers. I now have a yeast infection on my nipples because she has been biting me. The shield has helped but she is still not latching on and eating well. I'm getting very frustrated. Anyways, I need an address for Tom and Janna if it's different if you could send that my way!! Talk to you later.
Love,
Paula

We'll be praying for you and Caleb! No matter how busy we get here on earth, please remember our babies will never truly be forgotten! They will always hold a special place in our hearts. I'm looking forward to meeting them all one day in heaven. In the meantime, it helps me to picture them in the arms of the grandparents that they were lucky enough to meet before their brothers and sisters.
