Today is my birthday, and it has been a great improvement over last year's (stuck in the midst of post-pardum depression). To start the day, Stephen wished me a happy birthday. Katelyn was still asleep when I left, but she surprised me at school with a birthday balloon and a bag of Reese Cups (along with some help from my mom and dad who were on their way to Muncie). My kids all wished me a happy birthday, and my high school choir even sang to me. :) I'm off now to finish the big day by leading our ladies' Bible study. As is always appropriate, I'm bringing cupcakes into class...
EDIT: I took my cupcakes into Bible study and had to whisk them away! Turns out Lena, my step-grandmother-in-law :), had brought a cake. How sweet! So my day of surprises continued...

Happy Birthday!
I am glad you had a great day...it is just not as fun as adults...I think everyone should at least have the day off - who wants to work on their birthday?!? :)
