A bit of levity in serious times...

I am a fairly confident person. I am a well-loved daughter of God, and one would think that would be enough for my self-esteem. It used to be, before the onset of blogging. As if I needed an adult equivalent for junior high "coolness tests," I started noting the severe LACK of comments on our blog. I knew there were some readers out there, but why, I asked myself, didn't they say anything????? I won't go so far as to say I lost sleep over it, but I really was bummed each time there were no comments. How pathetic! I was just thinking along these lines when Stephen exclaimed "Oh dear!" Upon my asking, he told me that we had this huge backlog of comments to our website that we were unaware of due to funky blogger settings.

WHAT!?!

I am popular!

My public loves me!!

[Quickly recovers from the surprise.] "Oh. That's nice, honey." :)

So to all of you who have commented and been ignored, sorry. I had no idea you cared. [sniff, sniff]

Funny girl!!!!!! I put at least one comment - - - maybe and probably more - - - on your blog, but it said it wouldn't show up till you approved it!!!!! I figured you had that 'restraint' on your comments to keep me from leaving all kinds of nasty cuss words in my comments. Hehehehehehehe

Deven, I started to reply, "It's OK, I totally feel your pain about the lack of comments . . . and then you "showed off" with all of your back logged comments! Just kidding. I really enjoyed reading; thanks for sharing. Once upon a time, I thought I would teach high school English, but the little Crows came along, and I shelved the idea along with all of the BSU Teachers' College books. All that to say, I admire you-and for a lot of different reasons. I'll keep checking in; please do the same. And your mom should be blogging, too. She is a writer, you know.
