Keep Dreamin', Kid

EDITED SLIGHTLY --
School starts two weeks from today. Just typing that out gives me butterflies. The beginning of school is a roller-coaster of emotions for me. I am really excited to get back and start the year. Teaching is my dream job, and I love it! I always have such big dreams at the beginning of the year, such as how I will teach differently or some new cool idea about curriculum. (FYI -- By the end of the year I'm so ready for summer that I "clean" my desk off by shoving everything into drawers.) I'm excited, but I'm also nervous about all the things pulling on my time this year. Between Katelyn, master's work, sponsoring activities, and the musical it's going to be a busy year. I don't want my daughter to only see me behind my laptop working (This is not solely because I want to be involved with her life, but also because she has this strange desire to bang on the keyboard. Parents, you should download Babysplat if this is a problem for you.) The year seems so long in August, 180 school days streching out into eternity. Then suddenly it's May and time to dismantle my room. I love teaching.
