In a tradition partially stolen from the tv show Gilmore Girls, my family has been meeting for dinner every Friday night. Originally, this was for when Stephen and I picked up Katelyn after Mom watched her during the school year, but the tradition has continued with summer. I'm a fan of the proceedings for a few reasons. (1) Our family lives too close not to get together semi-regularly. (2) We get to see a lot of Stephen's parents at church, so it's nice for my family to feel like they have some regular time with us. After all, we are cool and fun. (3) Mom is a great cook, and while she isn't the only one preparing dinner ever, she does it most of the time. It's TASTY!
